According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Patriots are 8.5-point road favorites over the Cowboys and the over/under is currently sitting at 49.5 points. New England enters play with a 3-0 record and is 2-1 against the spread, while Dallas is 2-2 overall and just 1-3 at the betting window.

The Cowboys are just too depleted to hang with the Pats. On top of missing Tony Romo and Dez Bryant, Dallas is also without its best overall defender in linebacker Sean Lee (concussion), as well as key depth in running back Lance Dunbar (knee) and Brice Butler (hamstring).

Dallas has been hesitant to throw down field with backup Brandon Weeden, instead trying to rely on quick passes and the running game to move the ball. This wasn't a recipe for success the last two weeks despite holding halftime leads in both losses, and it has led to the defense being tired in the second half. Bill Belichick and Tom Brady aren't going to show the Cowboys any mercy and while this is a big number for a road team to cover, there isn't a better play in this matchup than New Egland.
