OUR PREDICTION: On paper, this is a great spot to take the Rams. First and foremost, they have the No. 1 scoring offense in the league. For whatever reason, they’ve also had plenty of success versus the Seahawks in recent years, covering the spread in seven of the last 10 meetings and five straight at home versus Seattle. That said, the Seahawks appear to be rounding into form. Their defense smelled blood in the water a week ago playing at home versus the Colts and trounced on Indianapolis in the second half. I expect them to limit Todd Gurley and forced Jared Goff to beat them. At this point, Goff has been great, but Sean McVay hasn’t asked him to make high-percentage throws. I look for that to change today against a Seattle defense that remains formidable.
Plus, while the Rams have been great offensively, they’re 30th in rushing yards allowed, 27th in total yards allowed, and are surrendering 26.2 points per game, which ranks them 28th. Russell Wilson has shown over the last six quarters that he can overcome poor offensive line play. This is Seattle’s opportunity to flex its muscle in the NFC West.
