Falcons vs. Packers Week 4 Prediction
The Green Bay Packers will likely improve to 4-0 on the new season but will they cover as a home favorite versus the winless Atlanta Falcons at 8:50 p.m. ET on Monday night?
279 Atlanta Falcons (+7) at 280 Green Bay Packers (-7); o/u 57
8:50 p.m. ET, Monday, October 5, 2020
Atlanta Falcons DFS Spin
Julio Jones (hamstring) is questionable for Week 4 against the Packers. Russell Gage (head) was cleared, but Calvin Ridley (ankle) is also questionable for Monday night. With both Jones and Ridley getting in limited practices to close the week, fantasy players should expect all three of Atlanta’s starting wideouts to play in a plus matchup against Green Bay. Pivots for any surprising inactives Monday night include Brandon Powell, Olamide Zaccheaus, and even Robert Tonyan if Davante Adams (questionable) is ruled out.
Green Bay Packers DFS Spin
Davante Adams (hamstring) is questionable for Week 4 against the Falcons. Run-stuffing NT Kenny Clark (groin), outside linebackers Za'Darius Smith (ankle) and Rashan Gary (ankle), and CB Jaire Alexander (hand/knee) are also questionable to face Atlanta. Adams closed the week with two practices and should be considered closer to probable — especially without Allen Lazard (core muscle surgery) available in the interim. Adams is a lock-and-load WR1 the moment he's officially deemed active.
Falcons vs. Packers Week 4 NFL Betting Prediction
The Falcons have covered the spread in five of their last six trips to Lambeau Field and the road team is 9-4 against the number in the last 13 meetings between these two teams. Atlanta has also covered five straight on the road as a road dog, is 5-0 against the number in its last five road games and is 6-1 against the spread in its last seven games as an underdog. Given how big owner Arthur Blank’s heart is and how doped he can be by his team’s “effort,” Dan Quinn probably figures he just needs to keep this game close in order to save his job for another week. A representable performance – one that doesn’t see the Falcons blow yet another massive lead because he doesn’t know what he’s doing – will likely be enough to convince Blank that Quinn deserves to keep his job. If that sounds ridiculous, I know. It is. But the bottom line is: Expect the Falcons to play things conservative and keep the game tight before eventually losing.
