Bills vs. Titans Total Prediction
The 3-1 Bills head to Nashville on Sunday to take on the 2-2 Titans at 1:00 p.m. ET. With Josh Allen questionable to line up under center for Buffalo, is the under a safe bet in what could turn into a defensive struggle between these AFC foes?

Buffalo Bills Fantasy Spin
Josh Allen (concussion) is questionable for the Bills’ Week 5 matchup against the Titans. Allen practiced in full Friday and has a real shot to suit up Sunday. His presence would be great news for the entire offense, as his plus mobility and never-ending arm strength forces defenses to account for pretty much the entire field regardless of how many mistakes the Bills’ franchise QB might make throughout any given afternoon. Still, this isn’t the most fantasy-friendly situation to target: The Bills-Titans’ matchup currently boasts a week-low game total of just 38.5 points.
Tennessee Titans Fantasy Spin
Marcus Mariota completed 18-of-27 passes for 227 yards and three touchdowns in Tennessee’s Week 4 victory over the Falcons. Mariota unfolded a chair and relaxed in the pocket while A.J. Brown (3/94/2) and Corey Davis (5/91/1) bullied Falcons corners Desmond Trufant and Isaiah Oliver downfield throughout the afternoon. Mariota’s first touchdown was a simple play-action pass over the middle to Brown that saw the rookie sprint past defenders for a 55-yard opening score. The second and third were easy throw-and-catches over the top of Atlanta’s secondary. Mariota’s been under scrutiny throughout the year, but Sunday already makes for the second time this season that the 25-year-old notched a three-touchdown showing as he’s yet to throw a single interception in any outing. His performance at the very least silences any talks of Ryan Tannehill stepping in under center for the time being. Even so, Mariota can be glossed over entirely against Buffalo’s shutdown secondary in Week 5.
NFL Betting Trends
Buffalo
The under is 8-3 in the Bills’ last 11 games after accumulating more than 350 total yards in their previous game.
Tennessee
The under is 5-1 in the Titans’ last six games after allowing less than 15 points in their previous contest.
Prediction
The Bills weren’t moving the ball with Allen so why would anyone expect Matt Barkley to accomplish the feat against an underrated Tennessee defense this weekend? Meanwhile, Mariota and the Titans looked sharp last Sunday in Atlanta, but the Falcons have more problems defensively than what meets the eye. I expect the ever-inconsistent Mariota to take a step back this week against an excellent Buffalo defense. The under is 4-0 in the Bills’ last four games overall, is 4-0 in their last four road games and is 4-0 in the Titans’ last four games played in the month of October.
NFL Week 5 Prediction: Bills/Titans UNDER 38.5
