Patriots vs. Browns Pick
With Tom Brady now back in the fold, will this Sunday’s matchup between the Patriots and Browns be high-scoring at 1:00PM ET?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Browns are 10.5-point home underdogs after the P:atriots opened as a 10.5-point road favorite. The total hasn’t moved either, as it currently sits at 46.5 points after opening at that same number.
The Patriots lost for the first time in 2016, dropping a 16-0 decision at home as a 3.5-point favorite versus the Bills. Quarterback Jacoby Brissett was just 17-of-27 for 205 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions, while LeGarrette Blount was held to 54 yards rushing on 13 carries. Rob Gronkowski continues to play at less than 100-percent, as he caught just one-of-two targets for 11 yards.
The Browns remain winless on the year at 0-4, losing 31-20 to the Redskins as a 7.5-point road underdog last Sunday. Rookie Cody Kessler was 28-of-40 passing for 223 yards with one touchdown and one pick, while Isaiah Crowell rushed 16 times for 120 yards and a score. Terrell Pryor, who had an impact in the week prior in the Browns’ loss to the Dolphins in Miami, caught five-of-nine targets for 46 yards and a touchdown.

OUR PICK: The over is a perfect 4-0 in the last four meetings between these two teams and the scoreboard should get a workout now that Brady has returned from his four-game suspension. The over is also 12-5 in the Patriots’ last 17 games in October, is 11-5 in their last 16 games versus a team with a losing record, and is 4-0-1 in their last five games following a double-digit loss at home. On the other side, the over is 4-1 in the Browns’ last five games in October and is a perfect 4-0 in their last four games played in Week 5.
