Jets vs. Dolphins Free Pick
AFC East rivals clash in London today when the Dolphins take on the Jets at 9:30AM ET. New York will look to get to 3-1 on the season while Miami tries to win its second game of the year.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book GT Bets, the Jets are 1.5-point favorites versus the Dolphins after opening as 1-point underdogs. As for the total, it opened at 41 and that’s where the number currently sits.
The Dolphins have major issues that were only magnified in their ugly 41-14 loss to the Bills last Sunday. For starters, their offensive line is reeling without left tackle Branden Albert, who missed Week 3 due to a hamstring injury. Quarterback Ryan Tannehill ran for his life last week versus Buffalo, competing 26-of49 passes for 297 yards with two touchdowns and three interceptions. Most of his production came after the Dolphins fell behind 27-0 early in the third quarter.
The offensive line wasn’t the only reason why Tannehill struggled, as he continued to show a lack of touch on deep balls and struggles to throw vertically. Expect him to struggle again today going up against the Jets’ outstanding front seven.
Defensively, the Dolphins are struggling to generate a pass rush despite adding free agent acquisition Ndamukong Suh, who has made a limited impact. The Jets struggled with turnovers last week in their loss to the Eagles, but they should be able to bounce back today versus the Dolphins.
