Seattle Seahawks Fantasy News & Notes
Seahawks FS Earl Thomas was absent from Wednesday’s practice. The Seahawks claim his absence was not injury-related. The disgruntled safety has now been a no-show at three of the team’s last four practices. Despite playing hooky throughout the week, Thomas saw his usual snaps Sunday against Dallas and was arguably the best player on either team, recording a pair of interceptions in the Seahawks’ win. It’s no secret that Thomas wants out of Seattle, though the Seahawks have yet to show any real interest in trading him. If the Seahawks do pursue a trade with Thomas, he’d be a great fit for the Falcons, who have already lost both of their starting safeties to season-ending injuries.
Arizona Cardinals Fantasy News & Notes
Larry Fitzgerald (hamstring) returned to practice on Thursday. He’s back after getting a breather on Wednesday. Fitzgerald hasn’t missed a game in four years and we’re guessing that streak will continue Sunday against the Seahawks.
NFL Betting Trends
Seattle
The under is 6-2 in the Seahawks’ last eight road games.
Arizona
In the Cardinals’ last seven games overall, the under is 6-1.
Prediction
The Cardinals have been dreadful offensively, which is one of the reasons why new head coach Steve Wilks decided to change quarterbacks not even a quarter of the way through the season. But it’s unlikely that Rosen jumpstarts this offense right away. It’ll take some time for him to get acclimated to the speed of the game, although he’s extremely bright so this offense does have the potential to improve sooner rather than later. On the other side, the Seahawks got in the win column last week but they’re an offensive mess themselves. Their offensive line is one of the worst units in football and is destroying Russell Wilson’s value. There’s a reason why this total is sitting in the 30s.
