Public Betting Trends
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetNow.eu, the Saints are 3.5-point favorites to beat the Giants. The total, meanwhile, sits at 50.5 points. As of this writing, 56% of the public betting tickets are on the Saints to cover the point spread.
New Orleans Saints Fantasy News & Notes
Alvin Kamara (knee) was upgraded to full participation at Thursday’s practice. Kamara was limited to start the week but obviously his knee issue is nothing serious. Coming off a career-high 15-catch performance in Week 3, Kamara should be in for another monster game Sunday in the Meadowlands.
New York Giants Fantasy News & Notes
Olivier Vernon (ankle) got in a limited practice Wednesday. It is his first practice since suffering a high-ankle sprain in late August. Vernon could need some extra time after sitting out a month, but practice on Wednesday, even if it is limited, usually means a player will be ready to play on Sunday. With the Saints in town, the Giants could certainly use Vernon on the field.
NFL Betting Trends
New Orleans
The over is 5-1 in the Saints’ last six games overall.
New York
The under is 8-2 in the Giants’ last 10 games overall.
Prediction
Eli Manning finally got some protection a week ago and resembled a NFL quarterback for the first time all year. He completed 25-of-29 passes for nearly 300 yards (297) with two touchdowns. Benching train wreck Ereck Flowers did Eli and the offensive line wonders. Speaking of train wreck, the Saints allowed 48 points to the Bucs in their season opener and 37 a week ago to the Falcons in Atlanta. Assuming the Giants did right the ship a bit last week, then there should be plenty of points scored Sunday at MetLife Stadium.
NFL Week 4 Prediction: Saints/Giants over 50.5
