Bears at Packers Prediction
Will the Packers cover the spread as a home favorite tonight when they host NFC North rival the Bears?
Who: Bears (1-2) at Packers (2-1)
When: 8:25PM ET, Thursday, September 28
Where: Lambeau Field, Green Bay, WI
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Packers are 7-point home favorites versus the Bears while the over/under currently sits at 45.5 points. As of this writing, neither the side nor total have budged off the original number.
Chicago Bears Betting Trends
The Bears are just 3-10 against the spread in their last 13 games against the Packers. They're also 1-5 against the number in their last six games played on Thursday, are 2-8 against the spread in their last 10 games in September, and are just 2-7 at the betting window in their last nine road games. Believe it or not, the Bears are 7-3 against the spread in their last 10 games, however.
Green Bay Packers Betting Trends
The Packers are 5-1 against the spread in their last six home games, are 5-2 against the number in their last seven games versus conference foes, and are 7-3 against the spread in their last 10 games in September. They're also an impressive 45-22 at the betting window in their last 67 games against the division.
OUR PREDICTION: The Packers are extremely banged up. Defensive tackle Mike Daniels is questionable due to a hip injury, while both of their offensive tackles (Bryan Bulaga and David Bakhitiari) are doubtful due to ankle and hamstring issues. That said, Mike Glennon completed one pass to a wide receiver last week in a 101-yard effort. The Bears won that game, but they're not going to win multiple games when their quarterback isn't involved in the game plan. Besides, CHicago is already at a disadvantage playing on the road, on a short week, against a team it has had little success against in Green Bay. Despite the Packers' injuries, I'm taking Aaron Rodgers and Co.
