According to oddsmakers at MyBookie, Carolina is the slight favorite at home in this game, as the Panthers are getting odds of -3.5 points against the Saints. The over/under total for the contest has been set at 45 points. The Saints are just 2-5 against the spread in their last 7 trips to Carolina and these two have hit the under in 10 of their last 12 meetings in Carolina.

Carolina is 2-0 on the season, 2-0 against the spread and 1-0-1 with the under. The Panthers started the year with a 20-9 win at Jacksonville and then followed it up with a 24-17 win at home over the Texans. Carolina isn’t doing much on offense, averaging just 323.5 yards per game, but the defense is holding opponents to just 292 yards per game. Cam Newton has thrown for 370 yards and three scores while rushing for 111 yards and a touchdown. Jonathan Stewart is the leading rusher with 118 yards, but he is questionable for the game with a knee injury. New Orleans is 0-2 on the season, 0-2 against the spread and 1-1 with the over/under total. After a 31-19 loss in Arizona to start the year, the Saints suffered a surprising 26-19 loss at home to Tampa Bay last week. The Saints are averaging 384 yards per game on offense thus far, but the defense is giving up 386.5 yards per game. Drew Brees has thrown for 610 yards and two touchdowns, but also has two interceptions and he has been sacked six times. He is listed as questionable for this game because of a bruised rotator cuff. Thus far, New Orleans is averaging just 3.4 yards per rushing attempt and Mark Ingram is the leading rusher with 77 yards.
