Packers vs. Seahawks MNF Odds
SEATTLE, WA (The Spread) – Two 1-1 NFC foes will square off in Seattle tonight when the Seahawks host the Packers at 8:30PM ET.
GREEN BAY: The Packers picked up their first victory of the season in a sloppy game against NFC North rival Chicago. Aaron Rodgers completed 22-of23 passes for 219 yards with one touchdown and one interception, while Cedric Benson rushed 20 times for 81 yards. With Greg Jennings out with an injury, Jordy Nelson caught six passes for 84 yards and Tim Crabtree hauled in a fake punt pass from Tim Masthay for a 27-yard touchdown. The Packers covered as a 5.5-point favorite despite allowing five sacks and generally not playing well offensively.
SEATTLE: The Seahawks pulled off one of the better upsets of Week 2 by knocking off the Cowboys 27-7 as a 3-point home underdog. Rookie Russell Wilson notched his first win by completing 15-of-20 passes for 151 yards and one touchdown, while Marshawn Lynch rushed for 122 yards on 26 carries and one score. With the win the Seahawks improved to 1-1 on the year and are now 1-1 against the spread. The victory was encouraging considering the way Seattle played in Arizona in Week 1.
ODDS: According to odds makers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Packers are currently 3-point favorites over the Seahawks, while the over/under total is currently sitting at 45.5 points. And of the wagers currently placed on this game, 77% of the betting public currently favors the Packers.
TRENDS: The Packers are 3-0-2 against the spread in their last five games against the Seahawks, while the over is 3-0-1 in the last four meetings between these two teams. The Seahawks are 4-0-1 against the number in their last five Monday games and 803 ATS in their last 11 home games.
