Ravens vs. Jaguars Prediction
Can the Baltimore Ravens cover as a favorite overseas when it takes on the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday at 9:30AM ET? Here’s our pick for the contest.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Baltimore is favored in this game, as the Ravens are getting odds of -3 points against the Jaguars. The over/under total for the contest is listed at 39.5 points. These two have split their last six meetings, but the Jaguars have covered the spread in four straight against Baltimore. Sunday’s game will take place from Wembley Stadium in London, England and will stream live on Yahoo!.

Jacksonville is 1-1 on the year following a 29-7 win over the Texans in Week 1 and a 37-16 loss to the Titans last week. The Jags are 1-1 against the spread, failing to cover in last week’s loss. The Jacksonville offense is averaging just 301 yards per game through two contests. Blake Bortles has not been reliable, as he has thrown for 348 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions. Leonard Fournette has led the team with 140 rushing yards and two touchdowns. Defensively, Jacksonville is giving up 325.5 yards per game, including 136 rushing yards per contest. The defense does have 11 sacks in two games, with Calais Campbell picking up four.
The Ravens are off to a 2-0 start thanks to outscoring the Bengals and Browns 44-10 in the two games. Baltimore has covered the spread in both of the wins. The Ravens are allowing just 320 total yards and 85 rushing yards on defense. Terrell Suggs is leading the unit with three sacks already. Offensively, Baltimore is averaging 315.5 yards per game, but only 169 passing yards per contest. Joe Flacco has just 338 passing yards and three touchdowns in two games. The Ravens have been led by their run game as Javorius Allen and Terrance West have combined for 239 rushing yards and two touchdowns.
The Jaguars have managed to cover against the Ravens in recent meetings, but I think Baltimore will break the trend on Sunday. The Ravens have a defense that can make it competitive in any game and that will stand tall against Jacksonville. The Jaguars can’t rely on Bortles to throw his way past this defense once Fournette is stopped. The Baltimore offense should also run into its own problems with the Jags, who have a good front and a lot of young talent. Look for this game to be another grind-it-out win and cover for Baltimore.
