Los Angeles Rams Fantasy Spin
Rams coach Sean McVay said DT Aaron Donald (questionable, back) will play in Week 3 against the Browns. Donald didn’t practice much this week while working through a back injury. His status isn’t in doubt for Sunday night, though it’s possible his snaps are monitored. Donald should draw heavy double teams from a Browns offensive line that’s struggled to protect Baker Mayfield.
Cleveland Browns Fantasy Spin
David Njoku (wrist) has been placed on the injured reserve list. Njoku suffered a broken wrist and will be sidelined for at least eight weeks. Demetrius Harris and Ricky Seals-Jones should each see plenty of snaps during his absence. Still, both are thin fantasy options until we have a better idea of their involvement in the passing game.
NFL Betting Trends
Los Angeles
The Rams are 6-1 against the spread in their last seven games overall and 4-1 against the number in their last five road games.
Cleveland
The Browns are 9-21 against the number in their last 30 home games and 7-18-1 against the spread when facing a team with a winning record.
Prediction
Jared Goff is off to a slow start but this is a nice matchup for him to get back on track. The Browns have injury problems in their secondary and while the Rams need to figure out how to keep Myles Garrett off Goff’s back, Cleveland’s defense can be had through the air. Meanwhile, Baker Mayfield has also struggled in back-to-back games despite leading the Browns to victory against the Jets last week. Cleveland has problems along its offensive line, specifically at tackle. Donald and the Rams are not the matchup you want if you’re struggling along the offensive line.
NFL Week 3 Prediction: Los Angeles Rams -3.5
