The Athletic's Dan Duggan said "it’s unlikely" the Giants will "totally unleash" Saquon Barkley against Washington in Week 2. On a short week as the team carefully manages Barkley's comeback from a 2020 ACL tear, there's little chance we'll see Barkley get a full complement of snaps or touches on Thursday night. He played 48 percent of the Giants' offensive snaps in their Week 1 loss to the Broncos -- a number that would have been higher had the game not gotten out of hand in the last half of the fourth quarter. Barkley, listed as questionable after logging a limited practice on Tuesday, had ten carries and caught one of three targets on 16 pass routes against Denver. He's a risky start against a tough Football Team defense.

Antonio Gibson (shoulder) was a full participant in Tuesday's practice. Monday's limited availability was more of a rest day for Gibson given the short turnaround at home. He'll be a full-go for Thursday night against the Giants, undoubtedly checking in as a low-end RB1 in RotoPat's Rankings on Wednesday.

Giants vs. Football Team Betting Prediction

The Giants are 4-1 against the spread in their last five games in D.C. and are 4-1 against the number in their last five games versus the Football Team overall. The road team has also cashed in five of the last six meetings between these two teams, while the Giants are 4-0 at the betting window in their last four divisional games and are 20-6 ATS in their last 26 games as a road underdog. On the other side, the Football Team is 1-6 against the spread in its last seven games played in September, is 1-6 against the number in its last seven games as a favorite and is 8-20 ATS in its last 28 games coming off a loss.
