Ravens vs. Browns Pick
Facing a banged-up Cleveland Browns, will the Baltimore Ravens have an easy time as a road favorite this Sunday at 1PM ET?
According to the oddsmakers at BetDSI, the Ravens are a comfortable road favorite on Sunday, as they are getting odds of -7 points against the Browns. The over/under total for the game is listed at 42.5 points. The Ravens have won eight of the last 10 in this series, but the Browns are actually 3-1-1 against the spread in the last five meetings.
Things couldn’t have went much worse for the Browns in their 29-10 loss to the Eagles last week. The debut of Hue Jackson didn’t have many positives and the team lost Robert Griffin III to a shoulder injury for at least half of the season when he attempt to run over a defender during a scramble. In the loss, Cleveland amassed just 288 yards while allowing 403 to rookie quarterback Carson Wentz and the Eagles. Griffin had just 190 yards passing and 37 rushing before getting hurt. Josh McCown is now back in at QB for Cleveland going forward. Defensively, the Browns gave up 278 passing yards to Wentz, which doesn’t bode well going forward.
The Ravens grinded out a 13-7 win at home over the Bills last week. They have now covered the spread in their last seven games, including the preseason. Baltimore looked really good on defense, holding the Bills to just 160 total yards and just 65 rushing yards. The Baltimore offense was held to only 308 yards, but that was against a stout Buffalo defense. Joe Flacco managed the game well, throwing for 258 yards with a touchdown. The concern will be with the offensive line, which allowed four sacks and produced just 83 rushing yards on 28 attempts.
While Baltimore didn’t have a lot of highlights last week, it still beat a decent team. The Ravens were able to stop a somewhat dynamic offense in the Bills, so limiting the Browns shouldn’t be a problem. The defense also shouldn’t have much problem stopping McCown and the Browns offense. Even on the road, Baltimore should have an easy time with this one.
