2015 NFL Week 1 Titans vs. Bucs Picks & Predictions

Can rookie Jameis Winston and the Bucs' skill position players take advantage of a banged up Titans secondary today when the two teams meet at 4:25PM ET?

The headline in this game is the battle of rookie quarterbacks in Winston and Marcus Mariota, who went 1-2 in April's NFL draft. But the emerging storyline that bettors can take advantage of is the injury concerns that Tennessee has at cornerback.

Perrish Cox is listed as questionable for today's game due to a hip injury suffered this week in practice. He was limited on Thursday and Friday and while Ken Whisenhunt expects Cox to play, will the cornerback be effective? Jason McCourty is already out with a groin injury and if Cox can't play, that means Coty Sensabaugh, Blidi Wreh-Wilson and Cody Riggs will be tasked to slow down Vincent Jackson and Mike Evans (questionable/hamstring).

According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, Lovie Smith and the Bucs are 3-point home favorites versus the Titans while the over/under total is currently sitting at 41 points.

The home team is 4-1 against the spread in the last five meetings between these two teams while the Titans are winless at 0-4 against the number in their last four road games.
