The franchise-record tying score was a 13-yard completion to fullback Heath Evans with 8:29 left in the game, giving the Saints a 45-27 lead.
Billy Kilmer threw for six touchdowns on Nov. 2, 1969, in a 51-42 win over the St. Louis Cardinals.
The last NFL player to throw for six scores in a game was Brett Favre last year with the Jets against the Arizona Cardinals.
