Giants vs. Jets Preseason Pick
Will the Giants cover the point spread versus the Jets when the in-state rivals meet in NFL preseason action tonight at 7:00PM ET?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Giants are 4.5-point home favorites versus the Jets, while the over/under currently sits at 37.5 points. The Giants opened as 5-point home favorites before the line dropped to 4.5, while the total hit the board at 39 before dropping to 37.5.
NEW YORK JETS: After beating the Titans 7-3 in their first preseason game, the Jets fell 16-6 to the Lions in the second. Bryce Petty completed 15-of-24 passes for 160 yards and an interception, while Christian Hackenberg went just 2-of-6 for 14 yards. Bilal Powell, meanwhile, carried the ball nine times for 32 yards to lead the Jets in rushing.
NEW YORK GIANTS: The Giants are 0-2 in preseason action thus far, losing 20-12 to the Steelers and 10-6 to the Browns. Eli Manning was 10-of-14 passing for 80 yards in the loss to Cleveland, while rookie running back Wayne Gallman led the team with 22 yards rushing on five carries. Odell Beckham Jr., who caught three passes for 37 yards, injured his ankle and could miss Week 1 of the season.

OUR PREDICTION: Neither of these teams has moved the ball in preseason. The Jets offense is shaping up to be one of the worst in football and the Giants will have issues moving the ball consistently without OBJ. Their running game was a weakness a year ago and they’re having issues along the offensive line. The strengths on these two teams reside on defense and I expect a low-scoring game tonight.
NFL PRESEASON PREDICTION: GIANTS/JETS UNDER 37.5
