According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Falcons are now 3.5-point home favorites versus the Cardinals after opening as a 4-point favorite. As for the total, the number hit the board at 44.5 before dropping to 43.5.
ARIZONA CARDINALS: The Cardinals dropped to 1-2 in preseason play with a 24-23 loss to the Bears last week. Blaine Gabbert was 14-for-25 for 174 yards with one touchdown and one interception, while Carson Palmer was just 9-for-14 for 67 yards and a touchdown. Andre Ellington led the team in rushing with five carries for 11 yards.
ATLANTA FALCONS: The Falcons fell to 0-2 in preseason action when they lost 17-13 to the Steelers last Sunday afternoon. Matt Ryan was sharp in his one series, completing 4-of-6 passes for 57 yards while Terron Ward led the team in rushing with nine carries for 37 yards and a touchdown. Matt Simms was also 15-of-29 for 197 yards with one interception.

OUR PREDICTION: These two teams should compete for a playoff spot this season. I don’t like the hook in this game, with the Falcons laying 3.5 in what should be a tight game throughout. Arizona is projected to have a top 10 (if not top 5) defense and will the starters getting an extended look tonight, I like the Cardinals to cover as underdogs, if not win outright.
