Rams vs. Raiders Preseason Pick
Will the Raiders handle the Rams tonight in Oakland when the teams meet at 10:00PM ET?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Raiders are 3-point home favorites versus the Rams, while the over/under currently sits at 40 points. The point spread hasn’t moved off the 3-point figure, but the total has climbed a half-point from 39.5 up to 40.

LOS ANGELES RAMS: ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald is threatening to extend his holdout into the regular season. While it’s still unlikely that Donald holds out the entire year, the situation remains a mess. He’s the team’s best player and from the outside, it’s inexcusable that Les Snead would allow the fiasco to continue as long as it has. Perhaps Snead shouldn’t have given as much money to Tavon Austin when he did.
OAKLAND RAIDERS: In news that only matters in peseason, ESPN’s Paul Gutierrez reports that E.J. Manuel has taken a lead over Connor Cook in the Raiders’ backup quarterback competition. Derek Carr obviously remains the starter, but for purposes tonight, Manuel could see extended playing time over Cook.

OUR PREDICTION: Jack Del Rio’s career preseason record in Oakland is 2-7. Clearly he’s one of those coaches that doesn’t play to win and while you might suggest that that’s every coach in the NFL, that’s not the case. Sean McVay, meanwhile, is trying to start his L.A. tenure off on the right foot. The Rams have been losing for over a decade but they won last week and I wouldn’t be surprised if they pulled off another upset tonight despite having one of the worst collections of offense talents in the league.
