Raiders vs. Packers Pick
The Green Bay Packers welcome the Oakland Raiders to town tonight at 8PM ET for Week 2 of the NFL Preseason.
According to the oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Green Bay is favored at home tonight, as the Packers are getting odds of -3 points against the Raiders. The over/under total for the contest is listed at 42.5 points.
The Packers opened up the preseason with a 17-11 win over the Cleveland Browns last week. Green Bay didn’t use many of their starters, including Aaron Rodgers. He could see some time today, but it is likely to be limited. One shining part of their offense last week was the run game, which amassed 151 yards. Eddie Lacy averaged 6 yards per carry while Brandon Burks had 45 yards on 9 carries. The Green Bay defense also forced a pair of turnovers in the win.
The Raiders had an emphatic win at Arizona last week, beating the Cardinals 31-10. Oakland amassed 166 rushing yards on 21 carries in the win with George Atkinson III rushing for 97 yards and two scores on just five carries. The Oakland defense forced a total of three turnovers in the win as well.

The Packers don’t have much to worry about from their starters, while the Raiders have some competitive battles going on on offense at the running back position and for backup QB. Matt McGloing and Connor Cook each want that spot and both looked pretty good in the preseason opener. The Raiders actually look to have some depth on their roster and are trying to build some momentum for the season. Look for Oakland to pick up the win on the road.
