Bucs at Titans Odds
As Week 1 of the preseason in the NFL rolls into Saturday, the Tennessee Titans host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at 8:00PM ET at LP Field in Nashville.
The Bucs come into this game with plenty of wholesale changes stemming from a busy offseason. The team fired GM Bruce Allen and head coach Jon Gruden, while also jettisoning veterans Derrick Brooks, Joey Galloway and Warrick Dunn.
Tampa hired first time head coach Raheem Morris to replace Gruden and Mark Dominik to replace Allen. Dominik then made a splash by acquiring tight end Kellen Winslow Jr. via a trade with the Browns, while also franchising productive receiver Antonio Bryant and signing free agents Angelo Crowell, Derrick Ward and Byron Leftwich. The Bucs also selected quarterback Josh Freeman in the first round of April’s draft.
The Titans essentially return the same team that compiled the AFC’s best record last season, minus one very big defender in Albert Haynesworth, who signed a free agent contract with the Redskins over the offseason. Tennessee was able to re-sign kicker Rob Bironas, quarterback Kerry Collins and cornerback Demarcus Faggins, while also signing free agent Jovan Haye to fill the void left by Haynesworth.
The Titans have been made a 3.5-point favorite by oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL, while the over/under for this game has been set at 34.5.
