Bucs 2017 Season Win Prediction
How many games will the up-and-coming Buccaneers win in 2017? Let’s take a look.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Bucs’ win total for the upcoming season currently sits at 8.5. The team is also 30/1 to win next year’s Super Bowl, is 18/1 to represent the NFC in next year’s title game, and has 17/5 odds to win the NFC South Division in 2017.
Tampa Bay had a productive offseason, signing wide receiver DeSean Jackson to complement Mike Evans in the Bucs’ underrated passing game. Jackson joins an offense that already features quarterback Jameis Winston, Evans and Doug Martin.
In the draft, the Bucs gave Winston yet another weapon in Alabama tight end OJ Howard. Receiver Chris Godwin was selected in the third round, while the defense received a boost from free safety Justin Evans in the second and linebacker Kendell Beckwith in the third.

Our Prediction: The Buccaneers won nine games a year ago and added Jackson to their already potent offense. The NFC South is one of the best divisions in football and the Bucs will play a second-place schedule this year, but they have too much talent not to contend for at least nine wins again in 2017. Winston is heading into his third season and could have a breakout given the weapons around him. The defense also came together under former Falcons head coach Mike Smith and figures to take another step this year, too.
