Reggie Wayne: Teams have been calling
INDIANAPOLIS, IN (The Spread) – Former Colts receiver Reggie Wayne says that teams have been calling him and that he plans to play this season.
“It’s something I’m excited about,” said Wayne, who received a key to the city of Indianapolis from Mayor Greg Ballard during a luncheon Friday afternoon. “I really am. I guess in due time we’ll figure out where it is.”
Wayne played 14 seasons with the Colts, racking up 1,070 receptions for 14,345 yards and 82 touchdowns. He also averaged 13.4 yards per reception and played 16 games in 11 of those 14 seasons, proving how durable he was throughout the years in Indianapolis. He’s lost a step over the years but could prove useful to a young receiving corps or a contender looking to bolster depth.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, Wayne’s former team the Colts are 8/1 to win the 2016 Super Bowl.
