49ers 2015 Season Betting Odds
SAN FRANCISCO, CA (The Spread) – Following a hectic offseason, oddsmakers have set the 49ers’ over/under for wins in 2015 at 7.
Perhaps no team in the NFL had a busier offseason than the Niners, who watched as Patrick Willis, Justin Smith, Chris Borland and Anthony Davis retire. Smith’s retirement was somewhat expected, but Willis, Borland and Davis’ decisions to walk away from the game came as total surprises.
San Francisco also lost cornerback Chris Culliver, running back Frank Gore, guard Mike Iupati, receiver Michael Crabtree and linebacker Dan Skuta in free agency. Among the veteran additions were defensive linemen Darnell Dockett, running back Reggie Bush and deep threat Torrey Smith.
In the draft the Niners selected Arik Armstead of Oregon in the first round and landed safety Jaquiski Tartt of Samford in the second. Pass rusher Eli Harold of Virginia was their third-round pick and in the fourth round, the Niners took Oklahoma tight end Blake Bell, South Carolina running back Mike Davis and Georgia Tech receiver DeAndre Smelter.
Along with having an over/under of 7 for number of wins in the 2015 regular season, the 49ers are also 40/1 to win the 2016 Super Bowl according to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv. San Francisco is 20/1 to win the NFC Conference Championship and 9/1 to win the NFC West Division.
