Vikings’ 2015 NFL Season Odds
MINNEAPOLIS, MN (The Spread) – Will the Vikings be a surprise playoff contender and produce a winning season in 2015?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Vikings’ over/under for wins in the 2015 NFL regular season has been set at 7.5. Their odds to win the 2016 Super Bowl are also 33/1 while their odds to win the NFC Conference Championship are 18/1. They’re also 6/1 to win the NFC North Division.
This offseason the Vikings re-signed linebacker Chad Greenway and running back Matt Asiata while adding cornerback Terence Newman, receiver Mike Wallace and tight end Brandon Bostick, among others. In the draft they also selected cornerback Trae Waynes from Michigan State, linebacker Eric Kendricks out of UCLA, and defensive end Danielle Hunter from LSU.
With Adrian Peterson back in the mix following a tumultuous year, the Vikings look poised to be a sleeper playoff contender in the NFC. Teddy Bridgewater is coming off an impressive rookie season and that was without Peterson at his disposal. The defense is also underrated under coach Mike Zimmer so the over 7.5 could be a nice value play when it comes to the Vikings’ win total in 2015.
