Cowboys Season Odds
Even though they haven’t advanced to the second round of the playoffs in over a decade, the Dallas Cowboys continue to have good odds to win the Super Bowl ever year.
This year, the Cowboys are 20/1 to win Super Bowl XLIV.
This offseason, the Cowboys decided to part with one of their biggest offensive weapons, but also their biggest locker room distraction. Receiver Terrell Owens was released, subsequently signed by the Buffalo Bills, and now Dallas has to count on Roy Williams, Miles Austin and Patrick Crayton to carry the load in the passing game, along with Tony Romo and the combination of running backs Marion Barber III and Felix Jones, of course.
In the draft, the Cowboys didn’t make a selection until the third round and then went mostly defense in most of the remaining rounds. They feel as though they’re set on both sides of the ball, where talent is not an issue. The defense features outstanding pieces in DeMarus Ware, Jay Ratliff, Terence Newman, Ken Hamlin, Mike Jenkins and free agent signings Igor Olshansky and Keith Brooking.
Oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL have made the Cowboys 20/1 long shots to win Super Bowl XLIV. They also gave Dallas 7.5/1 odds to win the NFC and 2/1 odds to win the NFC East Division.
The Cowboys are always a decent risk to take for bettors because of their talent. But they haven’t gotten over the playoff hump since the mid 90s and they seem to lack overall toughness down the stretch of seasons. They also play in a tough division with the Giants and the Eagles, but again, they have immense talent and they can compete with anyone in the league. At 20/1 to win, the ‘Boys certainly offer some value.
