Bills showing interest in Maclin
Could the Bills be on the verge of signing Jeremy Maclin, who was recently released by the Chiefs?
On Sunday afternoon a report from ESPN.com emerged that stated LeSean McCoy had been recruiting Maclin to sign with the Bills. Shortly after that report was released, Jordan Schultz of the Huffington Post said that the Bills are in preliminary takes with Maclin after he was released by the Chiefs over the weekend. Maclin and McCoy were teammates together in Philadelphia.
The Bills have a No. 1 receiver in Sammy Watkins but he's been banged up for most of his career and is currently dealing with a foot injury. The team also invested a second-round pick in Zay Jones, who is dealing with a knee injury himself. Thus, Maclin would make a lot of sense for a Bills team that has too much injury problems at the top of its wide receiver depth chart.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Bills are 90/1 long shots to win the Super Bowl next year. They're in the same company as the Jaguars (90/1), Chargers (80/1) and Lions (70/1). For comparison sake, the Patriots have the best odds to win the Super Bowl at 17/5.
The Cowboys, meanwhile, are 10/1, followed by the Packers and Seahawks at 11/1. The Falcons are 13/1, the Raiders and Steelers are 14/1, and the Texans are 15/1 to win next year's Super Bowl.
