Melvin Gordon NFL Draft Prop Odds
CHICAGO, IL (The Spread) – Will Wisconsin running back Melvin Gordon be selected tonight when the first round of the 2015 NFL Draft kicks off at 8:00PM ET?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, Gordon’s draft position is currently sitting at 22.5. That means if he’s taken in picks 1-22, his draft position would fall “under” the posted total. If he’s taken with the No. 23 overall pick or later, he would have been selected “over” his draft position.
Gordon is widely considered as the No. 2 running back prospect behind Georgia’s Todd Gurley. While running backs have become devalued over the years, both Gurley and Gordon are considered first-round prospects.
There are a handful of teams that could take a running back in the first round, including the Falcons at No. 8, the Rams at No. 10 , the Dolphins at No. 10, the Chargers at No. 17, the Lions at No. 23 and the Cardinals at No. 24. The Ravens at 26, the Cowboys at No. 27 and the Patriots at No. 32 could always consider a back as well. The Cardinals and Cowboys might make the most sense for Gordon and if that’s the case, his draft position will go “over” the posted total tonight.
