NFL suspends Hardy 10 games
ARLINGTON, TX (TheSpread) – After signing Greg Hardy to a one-year deal a month ago, the Dallas Cowboys found out on Wednesday that they won’t see much of him in 2015.
The NFL announced yesterday that Hardy has been suspended for 10 games to start the 2015 season due to a violation of the personal conduct policy. Roger Goodell addressed the suspension, saying it came as a result of an extensive two-month investigation. Hardy was found guilty last July of assaulting his former girlfriend.
According to the latest oddsmakers, the Cowboys are currently listed at 12/1 to win the Super Bowl in 2016. Seattle is the favorite right now with 11/2 odds while both Green Bay and New England each have 7/1 odds.
Hardy played in just one game last season due to the investigation and Carolina being proactive. Hardy had spent the last five years in Carolina, but he decided to sign a one-year deal with the Cowboys in hopes to have a strong comeback season and earn a big contract next year. Now, Hardy will only be able to play in the final six games of the regular season.
