NFL Scouting Combine Betting Props
INDIANAPOLIS, IN (The Spread) – The NFL scouting combine takes place this week and with that, oddsmakers have released prop odds for some of the testing events.
Will the fastest forty-yard dash time be over or under 4.28 seconds? According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, both the over and the under are carrying odds of -120 on the money line. So if you wager that the fastest forty time will be over 4.28 seconds, you’ll win $100.00 for every $120.00 that you wager. If you bet that the fastest time will be under 4.28 seconds, you’ll also win $100.00 for every $120.00 that you wager.
The odds that Oregon quarterback Marcus Mariota will run the forty in over 4.51 seconds are -110, while the odds that he’ll run under 4.51 seconds is -130. Jameis Winston, meanwhile, has odds of -130 to run over 4.82 seconds while his odds of running under 4.82 seconds are -110.
Will Chris Johnson’s 40-yard dash time record of 4.24 seconds be broken at this year’s combine? The odds that it will be broken are 4/1, while the odds that it will still be standing at the conclusion of this year’s combine are 1/7. (Thus, clearly oddsmakers believe that is record will hold up seeing as how the odds are so poor for someone to break it.)
