Emmanuel Sanders SB54 Prop Picks
After he was held without a catch in the 49ers’ win over the Packers in the NFC Championship Game, how big will receiver Emmanuel Sanders’ role be in Super Bowl 54 against the Chiefs? Will snag at least four passes and get over 50 yards receiving?

Yards of Longest Reception: 19.5
Touchdown: Yes (+175); No (-200)
While Sanders was held without a catch versus the Packers in the NFC Championship Game, the entire Niners passing game was grounded that night because Raheem Mostert ripped through Green Bay’s run defense for 220 rushing yards. There was nothing for Sanders and quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo to do that night, so don’t hold his lack of receiving yards against him.
That said, Sanders wasn’t worked too hard in the Niners’ win over the Vikings in the Divisional round the week prior, either. He caught just 2-of-2 targets for 33 yards as Garoppolo only attempted 11 passes in that game. That said, it’s important to note that Jimmy G targeted each of George Kittle, Deebo Samuel and Kendrick Bourne more often than Sanders.
What role will Sanders have tonight against the Chiefs? You’d have to go back to Week 14 versus the Saints to see the last time he had more than three receptions in a game. That was also Sanders’ biggest game of the season, catching seven passes for 157 yards and a touchdown in the win. Otherwise, he finished with just two catches versus the Falcons, three catches versus the Rams and three catches versus the Seahawks in his final three regular-season games.
That said, I do see Sanders and this 49ers passing attack being on point tonight. I have been fading San Francisco’s rushing numbers while anticipating that Kyle Shanahan will dial up more pass plays tonight with Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs throwing darts on the other side. Granted, the Niners might try to go with a run-heavy approach but as soon as the Chiefs start scoring (and they will), then the Niners could be forced to put the ball in the air more.
While I doubt he duplicates what he did versus the Saints in New Orleans, I do like Sanders to catch 4-5 passes tonight for around 60 yards. That would make his reception number either a push or a win on the over, as well as a win on the over when it comes to his receiving yardage.
Emmanuel Sanders Super Bowl 54 Prop Bets: OVER 4 Receptions (+100) & OVER 52.5 Receiving Yards (-110)
