Will Peyton & Duncan win titles, then retire?

Will Peyton Manning & Tim Duncan retire this year after winning titles?

What are the odds that the Broncos win the Super Bowl, Peyton Manning retires, the Spurs win the NBA championship, and Tim Duncan retires?

Compare Super Bowl 50 Betting Odds

Well, we’ll tell you what the odds are: 20/1. That’s according to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv. All four events must take place for a wager to be paid out and Manning and Duncan must retire before game one of the following season.

All four events occurring this season isn’t as far-fetched as you’d think. Manning reportedly told Bill Belichick after the Broncos beat the Patriots in the AFC Championship Game that “this might be my last rodeo.” And even though Denver is currently a 6-point underdog to beat Carolina in Super Bowl 50 on Sunday, the Broncos have the pieces on defense to pull off the upset.

As for Duncan, he’s 39 years old and is currently dealing with a sore right knee that has sidelined him over the past couple of weeks. If Duncan were to win another NBA title (his sixth with the Spurs and of his career), then he might decide to walk off into the sunset.

San Antonio will likely have to go through the seemingly unstoppable Golden State Warriors to reach the NBA Finals. But while the Warriors are favored at 1/1 to win the championship this season, the Spurs have the next best odds at +275.

Is it unlikely that all four events will occur? Yes. But certainly not impossible and at 20/1, it might be worth a wager.
