Total continues to drop for SBXLIX
GLENDALE, AZ (The Spread) – The total in Super Bowl XLIX is now down a full point from the opening number at most sports books.
The Patriots opened as 3-point underdogs at the closing of the AFC Championship Game but the line was bet all the way down to a pick’em but the time Championship Sunday came to a close. Now, according to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Pats are 1-point favorites over the Seahawks for Super Bowl XLIX.
But the spread isn’t the only movement that is occurring for Sunday’s game. The total, after opening at 48 at most books, is now down a full point to 47 at both online and Vegas sports books. There are some spots where you can find the line still at a pick’em and the total at 47.5, but most books now have the Pats at -1 and the over/under at 47.
The under is 4-1 in the Patriots’ last five Super Bowl appearances and 7-3 in their last 10 games on grass. The under is also 4-1 in the Seahawks’ last five games after accumulating more than 150 yards rushing in their previous game.
