Seahawks’ Defensive Props
EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ (The Spread) – Seattle has the top defense in the NFL this season. Which defensive players will shine in Super Bowl XLVIII?
According to oddsmakers from Bovada.lv, Bobby Wagner has been given the most potential tackles for the game against Denver, as his over/under odds for total solo & assisted tackles has been set at 10.
Wagner, who plays linebacker, led Seattle in tackling this season, racking up 120 total tackles, 72 of which were solo. He also had five sacks and a pair of interceptions. Wagner played in 14 games during the regular season, averaging 8.57 tackles per game. In the playoffs, he recorded 9 tackles against the Saints and had 15 in the NFC Championship against the 49ers. He has had at least 10 tackles in five of his 16 games this season.
Another player to watch out for is defensive end Michael Bennett, who has been given over/under odds of 0.5 sacks for Sunday’s game. Bennett led the Seahawks in sacks this year, picking up a total of 8.5 to go along with 31 tackles. He played in all 16 games during the regular season, averaging just over 0.5 sacks per game. He recorded a sack in eight games. In the playoffs, he has 1.5 sacks, recording at least half a sack in each game. The Broncos allowed just 20 sacks during the season, so getting to Peyton Manning isn’t easy.
