Player Snapshot
In his second season, Gerald Everett caught 33 passes for 320 yards and three touchdowns, which bested his production as a rookie in 2017 (16-244-2). That said, neither Everett nor fellow tight end Tyler Higbee racked up much production in Sean McVay’s offense, which largely ignored the tight end position for a second consecutive season.
Gerald Everett Super Bowl Prop Predictions
During the regular season, Everett finished with 2.06 receptions per game, 20.0 yards per game and 9.70 yards per catch. He failed to get on the stat sheet versus the Cowboys in the Divisional round but finished with two catches for 50 yards on four targets against the Saints in the NFC Championship Game.
Gerald Everett Total Receptions: O/U 2.5
Gerald Everett Total Receiving Yards: O/U 23.5
Gerald Everett Total Receiving Yards on First Reception: O/U 8.5
Gerald Everett Longest Reception: O/U 12.5
I usually target receptions and receiving yards when it comes to player props for the Super Bowl but the best prop involving Everett is the over when it comes to total receiving yards on his first reception. His first reception last week went for 11 yards on a second-and-10 from the New Orleans’ 45-yard line. He also caught a 39-yard reception in that same game. Chances are, if the Rams are using Everett, it’s for a designed play to pick up chunk yards. It’s unlikely they’re going to dump one off into the flats for him, a la a running back or a screen to a receiver.
