Phillip Dorsett might not have a big game on Sunday when his Patriots take on the Rams in Super Bowl 53 but he doesn’t have to have a great performance to cash in for bettors. What’s the best Phillip Dorsett prop bet for Super Bowl Sunday?

Player Snapshot
Phillip Dorsett just wrapped up his fourth season in the NFL and his second with the Patriots. He caught 32 passes on 42 targets for 290 yards with three touchdowns. Despite Josh Gordon only playing a few games and Rob Gronkowski not being what he once was, Dorsett didn’t make too much of an impact in New England. His best game came all the way back in Week 1 when he caught all seven of his targets for 66 yards and a touchdown in a win over the Texans.
Phillip Dorsett Super Bowl Prop Predictions
Phillip Dorsett Total Receptions: O/U 2.5
Phillip Dorsett Total Receiving Yards: O/U 29.5
Phillip Dorsett Total Receiving Yards on First Reception: O/U 10.5
Phillip Dorsett Longest Reception: O/U 17.5
It was telling that, even though the Patriots scored 41 points versus the Chargers and 37 points against the Chiefs in their two playoff games this year, that Dorsett finished with just five catches for 70 yards on eight targets. Granted, he did score two touchdowns (one in each game), but he’s simply not a big part of their offense.
With that in mind, I’m going under 2.5 for total receptions and under 29.5 for total receiving yards. If you take away his big Week 1 performance and his Week 17 effort in which he caught five passes for 34 yards and a touchdown against the Jets, Dorsett topped three receptions in a game only three times (Week 2 at Jacksonville, Week 4 vs. Miami and Week 9 vs. Green Bay). There were more games Dorsett didn’t finish with a single reception (7) than he had games with more than two receptions (6). Only five times did he record more than 29 receiving yards in a game, too.
Phillip Dorsett under 2.5 receptions
Phillip Dorsett under 29.5 receiving yards
