Super Bowl XLIX Coin Toss Odds
GLENDALE, AZ (The Spread) – Surprisingly, one of the most wagered on events of the Super Bowl is the coin toss. What is going to be your play for the coin toss at Super Bowl XLIX?
According to oddsmakers from Bovada.lv, the odds for the coin toss are not surprisingly even. Both Heads and Tails are getting a money line of -105 to be the outcome. Super Bowl XLIX will be played on Sunday, Feb. 1 from University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona at 6:30PM ET.
When looking at the history of the coin toss, it has definitely been streaky. Last year saw Tails get the nod, snapping a five-year streak of heads being the outcome. Tails actually had a run of being the toss in eight of nine Super Bowls. Amazingly enough, when breaking down the overall numbers, Heads has come up 24 times, while Tails has been the toss at 24 different Super Bowls.

Another wager is whether or not the team that wins the coin toss will win the game. Yes has a wager of -115, as does a wager of No. The last two coin toss winners, and four of the last five toss winners, have went on to win the Super Bowl. In the total history, the coin toss winner has went on to win the Super Bowl in 23 of the 48 games that have been played.
