2015 NFL Pro Bowl Odds
GLENDALE, AZ (The Spread) - University of Phoenix Stadium will host the 2015 Pro Bowl on Sunday at 6:30PM ET and as of right now, Team Carter is favored over Team Irvin.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, Team Carter (led by former Vikings Hall of Fame wide receiver Cris Carter) is a 2-point favorite over Team Irvin, which will be led by former Cowboys great and Hall of Famer Michael Irvin. The total for Sunday's game is set at 66.5 points.
Team Carter is led by quarterbacks Andrew Luck and Drew Brees, as well as running backs Jamaal Charles and Justin Forsett, receivers Antonio Brown, A.J. Green and Jordy Nelson, and defenders J.J. Watt, Mario Williams, Justin Houston and Patrick Peterson, among many others. John Harbaugh of the Ravens will coach Team Carter.
On the other side, Team Irvin is led by quarterbacks Tony Romo, Matthew Stafford and Matt Ryan, running backs DeMarco Murray and Mark Ingram, and receivers Odell Beckham Jr. and Emmanuel Sanders. Jimmy Graham, Robert Quinn, DeMarcus Ware, Aaron Donald, Von Miller, Clay Matthews, Elvis Dumervil and Luke Kuechley are also on Team Irvin's roster. Jason Garrett of the Cowboys will be the head coach for Team Irvin.
Some of the unique rules for the 2015 Pro Bowl include no kickoffs and there will be a two-minute warning that will be added to the first and third quarters of the game. The ball will also change teams after each quarter, which will offer excitement for fans that want to see quarterbacks run the two-minute drill at the end of each quarter.
Last year was the first time the NFL attempted a draft format and Team Rice went on to beat Team Sanders 22-21 in a competitive game (or at least more competitive than previous Pro Bowls where the NFC All-Stars played the AFC All-Stars). Team Rice failed to cover as a 1.5-point favorite while the combined score of 43 fell well under the total of 89.5.
