Spread in KC-NE matchup drops half point
Both the side and total for Saturday’s Divisional round playoff matchup between the Chiefs and Patriots have both dropped ahead of the 4:35PM ET kickoff.

Following last Saturday’s Wild Card action the Patriots opened as a 5-point home favorite versus the Chiefs for this weekend’s Divisional round matchup. The point spread stayed at New England -5 throughout the week, but has dropped to 4.5 according to oddsmakers from online sports book RealBet.eu.
The over/under has also dropped since oddsmakers posted the number last weekend. After opening at 44.5, the total is now down a full point to 43.5. Seeing as how there’s only light rain expected in today’s forecast in Foxboro, one would think that weather would cause the total to drop any further.
What could move both the side and total, however, is sharp action on Kansas City and the under. With 54% of the tickets being placed on the Patriots -4.5, chances are oddsmakers took wiseguy money on the Chiefs and dropped the line this morning. Public bettors often take the over, so there’s likely sharp money on the under as well.
