Rodgers’ calf still an issue
GREEN BAY, WI (The Spread) – What can the Green Bay Packers expect from Aaron Rodgers heading into the NFC Championship against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday? Here is an updated look at the injury report.
According to oddsmakers from Bovada.lv, the Seahawks are favored at home, as they are getting odds of -7.5 points against the Packers for Sunday NFC Championship at 3:05PM ET (View Matchup). The over/under total for this championship game has been set at 46.5 points.
Of all the injuries heading into this game, the focus is clearly on Rodgers and his torn calf. Rodgers has been dealing with the injury for weeks now and it is limiting his mobility, but he will play on Sunday. He went 24 of 35 passing for 316 yards and three touchdowns against the Cowboys last week, but is facing one of the league’s best defenses on the road this Sunday. Rodgers was just 23 of 33 passing for 189 yards with one touchdown and one INT against the Seahawks in the season opener at Seattle.
The Seahawks come into this game largely healthy, The only players uncertain to play are tight end Tony Moeaki and safety Jeron Johnson. Moeaki is questionable with a calf injury that forced him to miss last week’s game and Johnson has an elbow injury that has him at questionable. Moeaki has just eight catches on the season for 134 yards while Johnson has 19 tackles.
