CHARLOTTE, NC (The Spread) – It should be a physical contest on Sunday when the Carolina Panthers host the San Francisco 49ers in the NFL Playoffs at 1:05PM ET on FOX.

San Francisco is 13-4 overall, 7-2 on the road and 11-5-1 against the spread. Carolina is 12-4 on the season, 7-1 at home and 9-6-1 against the spread. Carolina has won four straight over San Francisco, including a 10-9 win on the road on Nov. 10.

The opening odds for this game had the game as even, but the spread jumped up to San Francisco -2 before slowly working back to even. The over/under total opened at 43 points and moved up to 43.5 before falling back to 41.

The Panthers won their final three games of the season to win the NFC South title and lock up a bye. They have yet to allow more than 20 points at home in any game this season and are holding teams to just 301.2 yards per contest. The Carolina offense is averaging 316.8 yards per game. Cam Newton has thrown for 3,379 yards and 24 touchdowns this season while rushing for 585 yards and six scores. Greg Olsen has added 73 receptions for 816 yards and six touchdowns. The defense has been led by Luke Kuechly, who has 156 tackles with two sacks and four interceptions. Greg Hardy has added 15 sacks.

San Francisco is coming off a 23-20 win at Green Bay in the Wild Card round of the playoffs. The 49ers have now won four straight road games. The team is allowing just 316.9 yards per game on defense while the offense is posting 323.8 yards per contest. Colin Kaepernick has thrown for 3,197 yards and 21 touchdowns to lead the offense while Frank Gore has 1,128 rushing yards with nine scores. The defense is being led by NaVorro Bowman, who has 145 tackles with five sacks and two interceptions. Aldon Smith has added 8.5 sacks.

In terms of Injuries, Carolina receiver Steve Smith (knee) and running back Jonathan Stewart (knee) are both questionable. San Francisco cornerbacks Carlos Rogers (hamstring) and Eric Wright (hamstring) are also questionable.
