Sports bettors should keep reading to find out what online bookie agents are thinking, and what they may do in order to balance their sportsbooks.

Saturday, Jan. 6

Tennessee Titans +9 at Kansas City Chiefs -9

The Kansas City Chiefs opened as a -7 favorite. Most of the money has gone onto the Chiefs. KC is now a -9 favorite. 54% of bettors are taking the 9 points on Tennessee. 46% of bettors are laying the 9 points on the Chiefs.

The difference in who bettors like against the spread in this game isn’t large enough for per head agents to use their layoff accounts.

Sports bettors are encouraged to do their own handicapping. Then, bet with confidence.

Atlanta Falcons +6.5 at L.A. Rams -6.5

There isn’t a huge difference between what bettors favor the Falcons at +6.5 and what bettors favor the Rams at -6.5. 47%, so far, are on Atlanta. 53%, so far, are with the Rams.

The prediction is that Atlanta covers the spread. The Falcons’ defense has been playing much better in recent games. Don’t be surprised if some online bookie agents cut off money line betting on Atlanta.

At +6.5, the Falcons could be close to a 2 to 1 dog to beat the Rams straight up. Many agents won’t want to take that chance.

Sunday, Jan. 7

Buffalo Bills +9 at Jacksonville Jaguars -9

The Buffalo Bills came up huge in Week 17 to stamp their ticket to the postseason. The Bills are huge dogs against the Jacksonville Jaguars. 55% are taking the 9 points on the Bills.

This is a game where most pay per head agents figure to let it play out unless one team is overbet against the other team in their specific book.

The Bills have a big shot at beating the Jags straight up. Buffalo’s RB1, LeSean McCoy, is one of the best in the NFL. The Jags are less successful stopping the rush than they are at stopping the pass.

Carolina Panthers +7 at New Orleans Saints -7

The betting odds have gone all the way to Saints -7 after opening at New Orleans -5.5 The Carolina Panthers lost both games straight up to New Orleans during the regular season.

The Saints beat the Panthers 34 to 13 and 31 to 21.

It’s difficult to see the Panthers doing anything to prevent a similar outcome. Online bookie agents won’t worry unless a ton of more dollars is bet on the Saints to cover than on the Panthers to cover.
