PUBLIC BETTING: As of this writing, the Bills are receiving 52% of the betting tickets but 51% of the money on this game is on the Jaguars to cover the spread.
INJURY REPORT: LeSean McCoy is questionable to suit up for the Bills due to an ankle injury suffered in the team’s Week 17 win over the Dolphins. Jordan Mills (ankle) is probable and Shareece Wright (concussion) is questionable.
On the other side, Marqise Lee (ankle) is questionable and so is offensive lineman Cam Robinson (Abdominal). Marcedes Lewis is also probable with an ankle injury.
OUR PREDICTION: The Jaguars defense ranked in the top 2 during the regular season in scoring, total defense, takeaways and sacks. According to Elias, they are just the third team since the 1970 merger to accomplish that feat, joining the 1974 Steelers (who won the Super Bowl) and the 2006 Ravens, who lost in the Divisional round of the playoffs.
With McCoy banged-up, I don’t see how the Bills move the ball in this game. Tyrod Taylor was sacked on 9.1% of his dropbacks this season, which is the second-highest percentage in the NFL behind the Colts’ Jacoby Brissett (9.3%). The Bills will struggle offensively and I don’t think they’ll contribute enough to the scoreboard to cover the over.
