Titans vs. Patriots Total Prediction
The second game of Saturday’s double-header of NFL Wildcard Weekend will feature Tom Brady and the Patriots hosting Derrick Henry and the Titans at 8:15 p.m. ET. With the total jumping from 41.5 up to 44, is the over a wise play for bettors?
Game Snapshot
143 Tennessee Titans (+5) at 144 New England Patriots (-5); O/U 44

According to our NFL Public Betting Chart page, the Texans are drawing 53% of the betting tickets ahead of Saturday’s game.
Tennessee Titans Fantasy Spin
Derrick Henry is absent from the Titans’ injury report for the Wild Card Round. It’s Henry’s first week off the report since Week 12. Held out for Week 16, Henry was noticeably revived as he destroyed the Texans for 32/211/3 in the Titans’ must-win finale. For the Wild Card game, Henry will be facing a Patriots defense that permitted the fewest running back fantasy points this season. New England did cough up a middle-of-the-road 4.2 yards per carry.
New England Patriots Fantasy Spin
Patriots WR Julian Edelman (shoulder, knee) said, “I feel better than I have in the last few weeks.” Edelman added, “I feel good enough to go out and compete at a high level.” Edelman posted 2-9-0, 5-72-0 and 3-26-0 receiving lines to end the season while playing limited snaps. A lack of reps likely won’t be an issue in this single-elimination format. The likes of N’Keal Harry, Mohamed Sanu and Phillip Dorsett could have to pick up the slack against a Titans Defense that was much better against the run (No. 10 in DVOA) than the pass (No. 21) during the regular season.
Tennessee
The over is 7-1 in the Titans’ last six games after accumulating more than 150 yards rushing in their previous game.
New England
The under is 5-1 in the Patriots’ last six games after allowing less than 90 yards rushing in their previous game.
NFL Prediction
The over has cashed in four of the last five meetings between these two teams in Foxborough. The over is also 9-1 in the Patriots’ last 10 playoff home games, is 4-1 in their last five games overall and has cashed in 11 of their last 14 postseason games when they’re listed as the favorite. On the other side, the over is 9-1 in the Titans’ last 10 games overall, is 4-0 in their last four road games and is 6-2 in their last eight games when they’re listed as an underdog.
