Bears vs. Vikings Prediction
Will the Minnesota Vikings find a way to trample the Chicago Bears when the two meet today at 1PM ET?
According to the oddsmakers at BetDSI, the Vikings are favored in this game, as they are getting odds of -6 points against the Bears. The over/under total for the game is listed at 43 points. Chicago won the first meeting of the season, 20-10 at home, back on Oct. 31. Chicago has covered the spread in three of the last five in this series.

Minnesota officially dropped out of the playoffs last week with a 38-25 loss at Green Bay to fall to 7-8 on the season. The Vikings have lost four of their last five and come into today 8-7 against the spread. The Minnesota offense has been struggling most of 2016, as the unit is averaging just 19.3 points and 330 yards per game this season. They have the league’s worst rushing attack at just 72.1 yards per game and Sam Bradford has thrown for 3,627 yards with 17 touchdowns with four interceptions. He has been sacked 37 times as well. Defensively, Minnesota has been one of the best units in the league, allowing only 19.8 points and 334.4 yards per game. They have 39 sacks and created 22 turnovers.
Chicago lost its third straight last week, 41-21 at home to Washington, to fall to 3-12 on the year. The Bears had covered in five straight prior to that and are now 7-8 against the spread for 2016. The Bears have an offense that has only produced 17.9 points per game. While Matt Barkley has shown some good play, he has just eight touchdowns with 12 interceptions in his time under center. Jordan Howard has led the offense with 1,178 rushing yards and six touchdowns. Defensively, Chicago is giving up 24.1 points and 360.3 yards per game.

This game is going to be ugly. Minnesota’s offense is a mess and facing a respectable Chicago defense. The Bears have the ability to move the ball, but turn it over far too often and are facing a play-making defense. A defensive touchdown could mess up the cover plans quickly, but I expect this to be low scoring, which is why I like the Bears with the points. Minnesota isn’t an offense that should be able to run away from Chicago.
