Ravens vs. Bengals Prediction
Will the Baltimore Ravens grab one last rivalry win today when they hit the road to face the Cincinnati Bengals at 1PM ET?
According to the oddsmakers at BetDSI, the Ravens are a slight favorite on the road, as they are getting odds of -1 point against the Bengals. The over/under total for the game is listed at 41.5 points. Baltimore won the first meeting this season on Nov. 27, 19-14 at home. Baltimore has also covered the spread in two straight meetings.
The Ravens saw their playoff hopes end last week in a 31-27 loss at Pittsburgh. Baltimore is now 8-7 on the year and 7-8 against the spread. Baltimore comes into this game with a defense that is allowing just 19.6 points and 333.2 yards per game. Their run defense is one of the best in the NFL, allowing only 85.1 yards per game on the ground. The offense has been inconsistent and averages 22.2 points per game this season. Joe Flacco has thrown for 4,050 yards and 20 touchdowns to lead the offense, but also has 14 interceptions.
Cincinnati is also out of the playoff picture at 5-9-1, with a 6-9 mark against the spread. Cincy has lost two straight, but been competitive in both games and they have coveredin three of their last four outings. The Bengals allow just 20.3 points per game on defense while scoring 19.9 points per game on offense. Andy Dalton has thrown for 3,980 yards and 17 touchdowns this season, but he is going to be without his top receiving targets in A.J. Green and Tyler Eifert. Both will be out with injuries. Jeremy Hill has run for 839 yards and nine touchdowns this season, but he is listed as doubtful to play because of a knee injury.
The Bengals are at home, but really without any playmakers on offense. The Ravens don’t have anything to play for, but still have a prideful group on defense that should be able to shut down Cincy. Joe Flacco can connect on some big throws in this game as well, doing enough for the Ravens to win.
