RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) -Authorities have charged two North Carolina State athletes with breaking into cars in Cary.
Police said football player Cedric Hickman and wrestler Christopher Sutton were arrested early Monday. Both were charged with five counts of breaking and entering motor vehicles and five counts of larceny. Sutton also was charged with resisting, delaying and obstructing arrest and possession of stolen goods.
N.C. State spokeswoman Annabelle Myers said both players were suspended indefinitely and that football coach Tom O’Brien and wrestling coach Carter Jordan would have no comment.
Hickman is a 21-year-old fullback from Winston-Salem, and he remains held in the Wake County jail on a $50,000 bond. Sutton is a 19-year-old from Wilmington. He posted a bond of $51,500 and was released.
Hickman caught four passes for 20 yards as a backup fullback. Sutton is 2-3 while wrestling as a heavyweight this season.
