(STATS) – Eastern Illinois announced it will introduce Northwestern assistant Adam Cushing as the Panthers’ new coach on Monday.
Cushing, the 25th coach in EIU history, has spent the past 15 years at Northwestern, including 13 under head coach Pat Fitzgerald. He has been the Big 10 program’s offensive line coach since 2009.
A Chicago native, Cushing played collegiately at the University of Chicago, graduating in 2002.
He replaces Kim Dameron, who was fired last month after five seasons and a 27-30 record, including 3-8 this year.
