STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) -Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops says middle linebacker Austin Box will have to be re-evaluated Sunday to determine the extent of the knee injury that knocked him out of the Sooners’ 61-41 win against Oklahoma State.
Box remained down on the field, holding his left knee, after the first play of the third quarter. He was replaced by rarely-used backup Mike Balogun.
Stoops said he thought Box might have sprained his knee, but more tests would be needed.
Box moved into the lineup after the Sooners lost starting middle linebacker Ryan Reynolds during their 45-35 loss to Texas earlier this season.
